One Flow One Brent Commissioning Announcement

In January 2022, One Flow One Brent (OFOB) invited an applicant to tender for the Provision of Training which will deliver youth led social action on Chalkhill, Stonebridge and Church End. We sought to commission an individual or an organisation to support young people, aged 13 – 25, from or nearby Chalkhill, Stonebridge, and Church End Estates, to undergo training and develop social action projects.

We are excited to announce that Up – Reach in the Community CIC (Community Interest Company) have been commissioned to carry out this work.

Up Reach in the Community CIC specialise in supporting young people to reach their fullest potential. There are several skills which will be taught but also further developed throughout the process. Up Reach in the Community CIC will deliver sessions which will enable the young people to develop their skill set within sectors. These sessions may vary from CV writing to gaining an additional qualification in leadership, where the young person will be able to apply these skills within their personal growth.

Up – Reach in the Community CIC will be supporting the young people to:

• Build confidence and develop new skills by creating sustainability in youth-led social action

• Explore identity at a local level, within the three estates mentioned
• Create campaigns and projects which will aim to tackle the drivers of violence
• Work towards a qualification in Youth Leadership – this can be added to their CVs once completed
