About Project

Following the success of our previous project, Debating Forum for Young People, we have now created a follow up project that will continue to provide young people with support. The Project consists of a mentoring youth support group of young participants that will meet on face to face sessions. At those sessions, the young people with the help of a mentor and moderator will have an opportunity to debate and have open conversation about many topics that extremely relevant to their lives such as: improve their social skills, communication, self-confidence, self-stem, drug misuse, unemployment, careers advice, street violence, alcohol abuse, mental health issues, family support, fitness, relationships, LGBTQI+, racism, bullying, discrimination, social media safety, carbon foot print, finances management, volunteering, apprenticeships. The sessions will be Youth led and the mentors and facilitators will be there to provide support and guidance. The main objective is for the young people to have a safe and welcoming place where they can share their personal experiences, fears, doubts and seek for support without any form of judgment and prejudice. All are welcome and the moderators and facilitator will ensure that it is a safe place to all.
