We are a small and friendly chess club, that welcomes players of all ages and ability and from all walks of life. We organise chess games at all levels, set up club competitions and provide tuition to juniors. We also enter local chess leagues and members compete in inter-county matches. Chess has great educational benefits for children, as well as adults. Chess has been proven to: develop perspective, improve memory, deepen focus, elevate creativity, boost planning skills, increase self-awareness, protect against dementia and help with ADHD. We have two venues, one at Cricklewood Library, 152 Olive Road, Cricklewood, NW2 6UY. The club night is every Monday, except Bank Holidays (September - June). The main session is from 6pm - 9pm (players of all abilities welcome). There is Junior Coaching from 6pm - 7.15pm. Our other venue is the Chalkhill Community Centre, 113 Chalkhill Road, Wembley, HA9 9FX. The club night is every Wednesday (September - June). The main session is from 7.30pm - 10pm (players of all abilities welcome). There is Junior Coaching from 6pm - 7.30pm.
