About Organisation

Wembley Football

Wembley Football organises a range of free football activities that:

  • Encourages children and young people to live healthier and more active lifestyles by playing both recreational and organised football
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for children and young people to play football as well as contribute towards community cohesion and development
  • Use football to help develop key life skills and raise awareness about issues affecting local youngsters (such as mental health, personal safety and jobs and employment).

The Brent Super Cup was started in 2017 by former Local Councillor Zaffar Van Kalwala who served on Brent Council. It was originally played in Stonebridge with just 30 children taking part – The tournament was the first of its kind in Brent for almost 25 years. Currently, the competition features 300 young people from across the borough, including several girls’ teams who compete to be the best in the Brent! The free seven-a-side tournament consists of both round-robin and knockout stages for local U10 and U12 teams.
