Beyond the Bias

Beyond the Bias was created in response to the urgent need to support young people in our community. Our work focused on those from Black and Global Majority backgrounds, who faced unique struggles and were often overlooked. We saw, day by day, the toll on mental health, the barriers to employment, and the shrinking spaces for young voices. In response, we committed ourselves to providing the resources, guidance, and platforms these young people needed to express themselves, gain qualifications, and pursue their dreams.

As a youth-led organisation, our mission is to meet young people where they are, empowering them through career pathways, skills development, mental health support, and avenues for creative and social action. Together, we are building a generation ready to lead impactful lives, confident in their power to shape the future as the leaders of tomorrow.

• Beyond the Curriculum is dedicated to bridging the gaps of educational inequality by both teaching and learning from young minds
• Beyond the Culture addresses the disparities caused by socio-economic barriers, providing young people with opportunities to develop skills and explore hobbies they might otherwise be excluded from due to financial background, race, gender, or age
• Beyond the Change empowers our community by giving young people a platform to voice their insights into local issues and advocate for meaningful change
