Community Safety Workshop

Join us at the Community Safety Workshop, where we will open discussions on how to make spaces safer for children and young people in Brent!

Establishing a stronger sense of security on Chalkhill, Church End & Stonebridge estates.

Tuesday 10 October, 10:00am - 13:30pm, Brent Civic Centre, Room no. 3-4.

Agenda:

· YBF will create a Critical Incident Protocol with key stakeholders in Brent, including the youth workers, the Met Police, London's Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and the residents from the three estates with young people in particular.

· The workshop will explore understanding of the stakeholders' roles in making spaces safer for children and young people.

· Attendees will develop an understanding of the Contextual Safeguarding Framework and practice some of the key methods such as context weighting, safety mapping and peer mapping.

· We will share emerging lessons and resources from test sites and allow participants to embed learning within their own contexts, including using local mapping tools.

· Participants will have the opportunity to network and meet the funders of the Young Brent Foundation.
