Brent Goes Global

.

Brent Go Global is a three-year volunteer program that will see three cohorts of young people aged 17-21 from the borough of Brent produce an international social action project with groups of young people in various countries and continents.

This project will see young people from Brent learn from different cultures throughout the world, attend high-energy sessions learning new skills such as fundraising and project management, develop an understanding of social action, meet guest speakers, meet new people, and have loads of fun!

This project will incorporate Young Brent's key approached of Education, Environment and Employment with a specific focus on intercultural dialogue and intersectionality.

In April 2024, YBF partnered with Raheem Sterling Foundation and talkSPORT, enabling 15 young people to travel to Jamaica and take part in Brent Goes Global.

Brent Goes Global is a once-in-a-lifetime project created to help strengthen future career paths and prospects by experiencing a range of community-established social action projects, exploring new cultures, making intercultural friendships and above all, making lasting memories.

At the heart of the Brent Goes Global project is a commitment to improve education, employment and social mobility, mirroring both the Raheem Sterling Foundation and Young Brent Foundation’s mutual ethos.
